Bike in question is a 2006 Road Glide. just a cpl quick questions for now
1. Looking at the Taller than stock version from Harley, no dealers around have it in stock, was wondering if anyone had used one from a differant manufacture, IE memphis shades, Tulsa, etc....
2. Clymers manual goes up to 2005, was there many changes between 05-06 ?? also will be ordering a factory shop manual, i just like both to cross check myself.
3. Concerning the audio system has anyone ever added the CB to a FLTRI and used the hand mike?? also at some piont i would like to add rear speakers for her and maybe the facotry amp. wife and i wont use the intercom so the helemts pieces dont really matter....
The tall windshield from HD is pretty flimsy. Take a look at Clearview Shields.....excellent product line and helpful sales people. As for the CB for your FLTRI, you'll find it is an expensive desire.....naturally. I believe you'll need a new radio, console, two headsets, tourpak setup including the speakers. I looked at adding it to my '04 just for the nicety of having helmet speakers........and yes, I had to buy a new radio and the console. Look into J&M......they may have a solution for you. I do without helmet speakers and bought a pair of Hogtune replacement speakers for the fairing......big improvement.
You might be in the same boat.....check with your parts manager.....my guess is I'm right.
