Default questioning self.

For those who have done there own cam swap how many needed to go get the spacers for the outside crank chain alignment. I checked mine multiple times and it was ok but when the manual has all the different spacers that could be used to true it up I feel that I didn't check right i mean how is mine correct and i dont need a different spacer than stock. Just wondering how many others didn't have to use spacers to adjust the sprocket alignment.

I have done two, mine and my friends roadking.mine used the the same stock one. The roadking I used one size up to get it in speck.i believe it just depends on the cam that you are using.

I didn't have to use a spacer(se259 cams)
That part of the cam swap did drive me a little nutz, checked and rechecked but was all good to go.No worries.

They are about 8.00 at the dealer for the set. I bought a set but didn't need to use them. Sold them and my can bearing tools to a forum member.

Bolt the pulleys down snug, use any type of flat edge, check the gap with a feeler gauge and if the gauge does not slide under the flat edge, call it a day and continue with the install. I also bought the upper and lower width spacers for peace of mind and now their someplace on my work bench collecting dust.

Good idea on selling those with the removal/install tool......
