I finally got the hands healed from operation and taught I would tackle the grips
Wow they were time consuming
I bought Harley grips
Had to take front fairing off remove back fairing and tip to front remove grips and controls ,fish wire through handle bars , gas tank removal , seat and left bag Sure eats time but never installed heated grips on new model
I think installing cams were less aggravation
They do work nice when done
When I sell this bike they are staying on it.
I like the grips
They help my hands which are beat up from years of work
After doing them they aren't hard just a lot of ripping stuff off to get job done which takes time . Should be a quick plug and play
Also they cold have sent power feed through the center of grip like the stock ultra heated grips.(something to think about when buying them)
The streamline and flame ones do not send power feeds through center only the transfer power to right grip
If Harley left a plug in the faring it would help big time. (The ultra has a plug in the fairing) But that's why they cost more
The temp goes up to 120 ^
Helps in colder areas

Which grips I have the streamliner heated grips and the left grip is externally wired.
If I remember correctly,I believe the dealer said 2 1/2 hours labor, but I got the inner fairing painted and an oil temp. gauge installed in place of the air temp. gauge.I was eventually going to get all that done and saved on the labor.

I've been curious about heated grips, are they worth it???
Want the stock slipstreams from a CVO... but I want internally wired, like the ones I have now.
Am I asking too much?
Nope. I changed the stock grips out for the Slipstreams when I changed my bars. Went with the Wild 1's and ran them internally. Looks very clean and get several thumbs up all the time about the looks now.
