Good post... thanks for the tip on the proper steps before reading the plugs there gunrunner... I have been reading plugs for years but the test he gave is very helpful...
plugs on my 08 street bob look exactly the same. I recently acquired this bike and it came with v&h slip ons and SE intake. Being used to carbed motors I freaked out when I checked the plugs. I rode down to the local Honda dealer and talked to the tech runnin the show at the time who rides and has worked on harleys for a long time and he says it looks great, thats how these new efi bikes run. If theres no pitting, metal flakes on the plug, and its not melting then it is how it was meant to be.
If you ask a harley dealer they will gladly tell you that you're burning your motor up and offer you a thousand dollar solution. Ask one of em off the clock and they'll tell you its running great. Harley didn't get this big by being bad salespeople ;}
