Default Spot Lights No Longer Work
They worked last night when I used them, then today they don't come on. Today I installed my Badlands LED's, I unpluged the wrong harness first, then the correct one to install the LED Equalizer, Coinsidental or what? I checked all fuses and none blown. Spot light rocker switch doesn't light up either. Any ideas?

COMM 101...re-check your connections. Something's not wired right...probably a ground, or your load balancer is bad.

You did check to see that the High Beam Switch wasn't on, right?

Ahhh, did not check high beam switch, nor did I even think of that! I will check and reply. Thanks for that.

That's exactally what it was! Thank you. Didn't figure it would be like my truck, high beams on, driving lights shut down! New to touring bikes and learning.

My spots came wired to work with either hi or low beam but were not functioning about half of the time after I got my monotubes installed. Bulbs and fuses were still good however I had a bad connection at the 4-pin connection for the 4-pin connection used by the switch. After reseating all was well.

Wish they were wired independent, my friends Fat Boy is but it is also a 2000. I believe there is a law as to how many lights can be on at one time. Should probably move it over to the accessory switch..

harley will be happy to sell you an adapter which allows the spots on with high beam.

many of us use our own wiring solutions....here's mine, cost under a buck:



as noted use not legal in all States

find time to page through the DIY mods sticky.

Good call on the switch Uncle Larry

On the '14's it is a program change - no harness adjust, got it done on the 1000 service
