Both bikes are demo bikes. The orange one was the sales manager's bike and the stage 4 is under full warranty.
"full warranty", by WHOM??? the dealership? or H-D? If it's H-D then atleast you know if you have issues on the road, you will be taken care of.... if it's a dealership warranty maybe not.
Either price seems "high" to us in the states... what was the retail price , and are the prices in US $ or CDN $?....
either way... a "last years model" used bike should be at least 10-15% off retail... otherwise, I'd buy new.
Yeah i know there aren't any Road Glides in the line up NOW... but as you are in Calgary... I'd wait til spring, unless it was a GREAT deal... and these don't seem so great (to ME)
Its in CDN. A new Road glide in Canada last year is around 30K. New street glide specials are selling for 30K this year. We get it up the a$$ up north. The orange one was 38K with the upgrades last year. The dealer is telling me that it's full factory warranty and it starts when I pick the bike up.
Personally, I wouldn't go with the Stage 4 because since you're buying it used, you want to ensure that everything was done right. Personally, I never buy any vehicle that's been heavily modded. But that's just me.
I agree with krying unless the dealership can show you documentation of the work. Will the stage 4 modifications be warrantied as well?
Or if your riding season is over up there Id wait and see what the new Road Glides are going to be, it may be the bike you want or it may drive the price down on the old models
exactly - when I got a quote from Stn Mtn HD -- they offered me 8k for an 09 RG with wheels, stereo, corbin seat, Hqs 107 that they built -- it does have 40k miles -- no money for extras
