beach bar is hard on the wrist on a few hour riding, but it looks good. Ape is the way to go as long as not to tall. because if its to tall.

I'm 5'8" w/ 32" inseam, short arms. Very happy with these 12" Odyssey bars by Buky Bars. Much more comfortable with a laid-back riding stile than stock. Install was easy too (considering it was my first); they're 1 1/2" thick so internal wiring was a breeze and at 12" I didn't have to replace any cables.

So your stock cables and brake lines worked with 12" bars, how about the wires did you have to extend them ? Also what year is your bike ?

I just installed Krohmewerks stretch heritage bars, they feel really good. Backrest will make a big improvement.

Go with apes, and for sure go with C&C Solo with back rest! (best bang for buck)

Just remember, if you go bigger then 12" bars you may/will have order new cables, etc. etc.

Had beach bars on a springer, loved them and the bike. I have only seen beach bars on one roadie, they did look pretty cool.

Apes seem to be the choice for most if not all.

Good luck,

Yb

Stock bars kill my shoulders after about 4 hours but i also blame that on the lack of a backrest which I'm taking care of at the same time which is another question ( C&C vs Corbin solo with back rest ) I would love to try different options but I'm the lone road glide rider out of my group, and as far as I know my local dealership ( Biker Bobs in Taylor Michigan ) doesn't offer to many bars for my bike.
I have had Beach Bars prior to switching my bikes over to apes. If you haven't already done so, try going on a long ride with Beach Bars (rental, friend??). They look cool but are really tough on the back.

If you like to stretch out, Apes are probably a better answer to your problems. SJ Ron
