Default Street Glide Reduced Reach Bars?

I'll admit, I haven't done much research yet but I am looking to change out my stock bars on my 12 Street Glide. Not into ape hangers but looking for a set so that are a little more comfortable so I don't have to lean forward and utilize my back rest better. Any input/direction would be appreciated.

John....

HD makes reduced reach bars you can try but the stock bars on a SG I believe are 8" if you go with 10" apes and pull them back which is what I did there is a bit more height and the reach is perfect for me.

I just put a set of the Harley reduced reach bars on my '14 Limited. No cables, lines or wires needed changed. Let's you sit up straight but still keep your hands protected behind the fairing. I've put 12.5s on two of my Street Glides and 14's on my current road king. Each of those cost me about $600 in parts and 8 hours labor (my own). These bars were $123 and 2.5 hours. Works for me, they are very comfortable.

I have a set of HD reduced reach bars on my "11 SG and hate them! They seemed fine at first because they were new but once I got some mileage on them the wrist angle is not good. The outside edge of my palms would actually fall asleep on long rides. If you want something close to stock height but closer look into Klock Werks Ergo bars. A friend of mine went that route and is very happy with them after a full season of riding.

I went with these on my 2012 FLHX, no cable changes needed. I went with the Sreaming Eagle TBW to eliminate the green connector, but I was able to re-use the brake and clutch cable with a little re-routing. Very comfortable, great wrist angle.

My buddy put reduced reach on his ultra and now he looks like a big kid on a small tricycle. Careful.

So you're saying how you think your buddy looks on his bike with those bars is more important than how comfortable he is with better bars?? I'll go with comfort, I really wouldn't give two $hits what other people think about it. I stopped given a crap about what others think about my bikes a long time ago.

No.....I'm saying he is sorry he did it cause he don't have the money to undo it and to give you a visual I explained it. He feels less in control cause he's now up close to the bars pushed forward into them and he feels less comfortable. I'm not 20 and I too don't give a crap what people think either.
