I just called the dealer, they have some different ones in stock but they said three hours of shop time to install them at $80 per hour. Now the grips are about $250 and another $240 to install. Did anyone here install a set their selves, how hard was it?

My wife's 08 UC has heated grips but in extreme cold weather she has her heated gloves and grips both turned on cause grips alone don't get warm all around her hands. But I only have heated gloves which I wear occasionally my hands get hot and sweaty in no time at all.

I like my heaters in side the handle bars tubs, my 90yr flhtcu has two stage snow mobile heaters and the 08 flhtcu has five stage heat demon tube heaters, I can't do with out them I like to wear my light leather garden gloves and I stay worm on night or morning rides.

I have heated grips, gloves and a jacket (Gerbing for both). For convenience the grips win; always there when you need it and no need to stop and plug in. For overall warmth I think the gloves do a better job than the grips.

A couple years ago I added heated grips to my '07 Ultra. My '14 Limited came with them.

I also have heated gloves. Since I got the heated grips, the heated gloves only get used on my JD tractor when I'm plowing snow.

Look into Heat Demons. Cost about 120 bucks and you can use any grip you like. Not that hard to install either.

I installed the heated grips on my Ultra, the hardest
part of the install was fishing the wire through the bars
from the throttle side to the clutch side. I use mine
regularly, the only thing I would recommend if you do your
own install is to solder the connection that is inside the bars
and not just use the push connection that is on the wiring.

It was a pita to install them, the directions were pathetic, but with a little common sense and some mechanical ability you can do it.
