How much of a pain in the *** is it to change the lower legs on an EG? Ive been thinking about doing the same thing this winter but really don't want to put new chrome rims on without changing out the lowers too.

That's the smart way to think. I did the lowers and the front wheel looked like crap. Should have just done it all at once.
As far as the install it's easy if you ask me. Several threads and videos will walk you right through it. Of course some basic tools are needed.

Rick screwed up my order, with wheels, beerings, pully, brake calipers, rotors, took a month to get things straightened up, but he made it all good in the end!
i had issue with shipping that was not rick's fault at all. but to make it right he sent me a new set of forks for free, i just had to cover shipping
