I feel like my Road King is pretty nimble to be honest.

I had a switchback and thought the road king would be too much. I was totally wrong my king fits me so much better that I feel it handles much better. I have a relatively short commute (15 miles each way) with half in of stop and go traffic. I've had no problems with it and don't even notice the weight unless stopped on a hill (need to hold the brakes feet can't hold). Get the king you will not be disappointed.

they named it king of the road I drive a 08 TCU I"m 6'1" and the wife is 5'5" she has a 90 TCU also. They handle better then my softail or dyna in the corners they don't plow or slide out in a hot turn. On the flhtcu has the King frame it is a lot more stable and easier to balance at low speeds and at high speeds and for cornering it is sweet they don't plow or slide out in tight turns the floor boards and the pipe get scratched up on the bottoms but if the floor boards come up just push them down. I fined that the kick stand drag a little but that just a little to hot in the corner. After you master the bike you can balance the bike upright at a stop with your feet on the floor boards. I love the angle of the front end she is agile. The only time that I find the bike is heavy is when it's laying on the ground and I'm piking it up. So with all that said you need to drive the KING to see for our self.

You will be only one of millions of Harley riders that have moved up from a Sportster to a road bike. While it weighs more, and rides more comfy, you will easily adapt.

It is different, but mostly in a good way. I often find myself taking the long way to work, just because it is such a joy.

The Harley touring bikes are some of the most well balanced, maneuverable bikes around. My touring bikes (2) are the largest I've ever owned, and by far the most maneuverable. The weight has little to do with maneuverability once the wheels are rolling.

I made the mistake of taking a test ride on an Ultra Classic. It was just a short while later and I was trading my softail in on a 2010 Ultra. I could not believe how nimble such a "big" bike could be. Never looked back and don't miss my softail ever!

My signature pic shows my solution to this problem. The bagger is a pain in tight places, but a dream on a 5,000 mile trip.

What can make riding a chore for me is not my RK. Its the darn jacket, helmet, gloves, boots, and heavy jeans. But I don't let myself omit those.
