I'm planning on installing a set of 11" Santee handlebars on my 08 Street Glide. I've done some research and about going blind reading and still don't have a clear idea of what I need to do a complete job without any "hiccups". What I'm needing to know is where to buy the wire extensions, bushings, clutch cable (how much longer than stock) and brake lines without breaking the bank. I'm wanting stainless clutch and brake lines as well. I'm also having my inner fairing painted at the same time as well.
When I put 10" Yaffe Original bagger apes on my 09FLHT I used 6" over clutch cable, stock brake line re-routed, but a 4" over would have been better, you can get all the wire extentions you need from Eastern, at least 8-10" over stock will work.
try J&P cycle. They are having a hangover sale. Prices are pretty good. I just picked up all new +6 barnett cables, new goodrich brake lines(with lifetime warrenty) & Namz wiring extensions for my 04 cheaper than i could find anywhere.
