you can also look down it with a flash light and see. the cats are pretty huge in there, or as stated it will be welded up on the side of the collector
I have to agree ,if you drill it getting all out is questionable.
You can only drill the one tube, you would need to then reach in with something a try to scrape it all out. That stuff is tough.
With a window cut out I still had to cut and hammer it out.

the cat is in one big chamber and running the drill in and out at different angles you can get it all out, no problem. the cat is not even the same size as the chamber, much smaller. i have done this many times, don't knock it till you have tried it this way. $10 for a drill bit and that's all you need. do a search on here there is many who have done it. i have two welders here at home and would have no problem cutting and welding, but it's not needed.
fullsac sportpipe is all you need. They have a trade in program also.
This to me is a option that is pretty cool imo and would be a great choice for the money but don't forget for a little more coins you can buy a full header pipe from fullsak or fuel-moto and keep the original just in case.
I bought mine in march last year off ebay for $69 plus $17.95 shipping from maam_pop_shopping. I just checked ebay and they don't have anything for sale right now but you could message them to see if they are still selling de-catted headers. They window cut.
