Default Just installed fork deflectors

From what I've read on here, fork deflectors seemed to be the best way to cure the turbulence behind the batwing. I had these HD gift cards burning a hole in my pocket so I went to the dealer and got a set, installed them in the parking lot and went for a ride. I noticed a significant decrease in wind directly up my torso and into my face. It calmed the updraft enough for me to tell my windshield might not be tall enough? My wife noticed her pant legs blowing up her legs more as well. There is definitely a change in the look of my front end that will take some getting used to but I don't think it's too bad with the chrome lowers. Especially considering the benefits

They look terrible on a Street Glide. Was the turbulence really that bad?

Did you also get the bell shaped wind deflector that goes between the fork tubes? That was does the most for wind coming up over the tank.

during the winter they were great ,but during summer months when the temp got up in the 80,s and 90,s and riding around town the engine would heat up cause they moved the air away from the motor . I believe it says in the directions ,avoid using on hot days but the guy that I sold my bike to said he never had a problem with them

I have never heard of the fork deflectors causing any heat issues. I have ridden a ton of miles with them in the Biloxi heat and never had an issue...same goes for the other ten guys I know that run them. Strange...
