Hello everyone.
Can some one tell me if this Cobra FI2000 AUTO TUNE CL is any good. I don't know to much about EFI or turners and i don't want to spend all kinds of money trying to figure it out, I've search the forum and found some imput, but to be honest about it, its like they say, its all Greek to me. Thanks.
I looked into the cobra. Basically in line (smart) enrichment right? No timing or other parameters. oldhippie is pointing you in the right direction. PV , tts, Harley tuner. That would be the order of my preference but as was stated, buy the one that your tuner/dealer is comfortable with. Makes tuning a lot easier if you chose to get it dynoed.
I always call fuel moto. As for needing a dyno tune after installing one from fuel moto? Well,, two bikes ago I owned a dyna. Got a power commander three from fuel moto. The next summer, dynojet brought a mobile dyno to town, and after flogging my bike, they were able to produce ALMOST one more horsepower. Just call fuel moto.
Thanks to everyone that replied, I'm doing a lot of searching and trying to educate my self on this stuff. I was looking for a tuner that will adjust to different mods. I dont want to keep having to get a dyno every time i change something. To many options out there for tuners especially for a newbie.

Again. PowerVision Autotune feature(built in) lets you update your tune as you ride. Then apply the modified tune to the ecm. Really neat tool and does not require a computer.
I read your post. That cleared up a lot for me, thanks for taking the time to post all that info. If you dont mind, i have a couple questions. First, when you first start the bike how does the bike run, i can't see it running to good if it's trying to lean how to run. second, if it doesn't adjust timing, will i have a problem later if i replace my cams, do i need or want my timing adjusted even if i dont replace my cams?
My uneducated opinion is this, many will tell you the same I'm sure.
Get the brand tuner that who ever is going to use it on your bike is confident in using.
I chose the TTS because a lot say it is the best in that it does more than the others. I regret it. Why? Because if you go on the road and frap out, there is very very few that even know what the TTS stands for, let alone tune with it. Just about EVERY shop knows how to navigate around the SERT and get you up and running again.
In my case I didn't need it while on the road but I did a headpipe swap mid summer and needed a quick and dirty dyno done. You won't believe how many shops I had to phone to finally get me in to tune with my TTS.
