HA. I've been using paper clips for almost a year now. Sorta fits my geek side.
While on our 380 mile lunch ride yesterday, it was all my buddy could stand. He pulled a couple of leather straps (small) from his jacket and replaced my paper clips.
Now I have to find something to do with my spare clips in the tour pac.
I've broken many tabs off zipper pulls. So far 5 off my 10 year old jacket as well as many off other jackets. I guess I'm just ham-fisted.I finally started making my own tabsout of scrap stainless steelbicycle spokes. It usually takes a few tries to get the spoke bent in the right places but I haven't broken one of them yet.
my taylor charges me nothing just to replace the tab itself on several of my jackets. she keeps spare ones from old jackets around.it only takes her a minute to replace it.
