Default New Floorboards

I am about to pull the plug on these floorboards for my '14 SGS. Not very religious, just love the look of these.

Has anyone used this company and thier products? I want to make sure they are a good company with quality products before I spend that kind of dough.

If anyone recommends other companies or floorboards post them here.

Eric

solid floorboards do a great job of transferring vibration to your feet.

the stock style use rubber bushings between the floorboard and mounting plate to absorb most of that.

if you go with something solid, make sure that they are not tilted out at all, or you'll find your feet constantly vibrating off the outside edge.

my Panheads have all had solid boards

Pick-up trucks have floorboards.

Motorcycles have foot boards.

I'm not a fan of the hard mounted Floorboards especially if they have no rubber to help isolate the vibrations. Take a look at the Yaffe Wedgy boards. They are hard mounted but have rubber inserts to help isolate vibrations. Had them on my last SG and they look fantastic and don't vibrate to bad.

Thanks everyone. Good point on the vibration didn't even think of that.

I tried some similar floorboards, different design, and only kept them for a month. They looked really cool, but really buzzed the bottom of my feet. I decided that function was more important than form in this case. You don't realize just how well the stock floorboards isolate the vibration until you try something different.

I was thinking about these:

http://www.buynowroaringtoyz.com/category_s/305.htm

Solid foot boards with rubber. They offer a package deal that includes the foot boards, 1 shifter lever and the brake lever for $600. But in case any of you don't know, the shaft that the brake lever pivots on is a different size for the 2014, so all previous models will not work. I called roaring toyz and they were not aware of this. I asked when one would be available and they said they'd get back to me.
