Default 2pt vs 4 pt docking?

When I bought my '14 SGS, I bought a sissy bar and docking kit for when the wife rides. When I got them home I saw the dealer had given me the 4 pt. I got to looking thru the P & A catalog and saw they offered a 2 pt. I know I will NEVER put on a tour pack or rear rack, and I think the extra attachment point that I won't use will just add to the cluttered look. I am planning on running a solo seat when she's not with me. Not having been around baggers, I don't know what the difference in the look would be. Should I take it back, or is there some reason I am missing that I should keep it. I am kind of **** when it comes to looks!

If you don't plan on mounting anything but a sissy bar there is no reason to have the 4pt docking IMO. I have the 2 and it's all I need.

I had the 2 pt on my road king and then wanted the 4 pt. the four point gives you options, the 2 pt doesn't. They make magnetic covers that may help you with the look.

I don not think they make a 2 point for the 2014. If I recall correctly they only option for the new bike is the 4 point.

At least for now anyway. There was a 2 point on my bike when I bought it. It's not on there anymore.

I thought the same about the tourpak and now, a while later I find myself going to order one. The four point gives you more options. You never know what you will want down the road. Ditto on the magnetic covers

That 2-point you saw in the catalog will not fit your '14.
For 2014 bikes, the only option is the new 4-point docking hardware.

14's only get the 4 pt but you can have it powder coated if you really want black. One of my riding buddies just pulled about 100lbs of chrome off his bike and had it all powder coated, this included the sissy bar and it looks really good!
