Default Thundermax Auto tune

I know they tell you that it is not required to have dyno tune with the new auto tune modules but is there an advanatage to having it dynoed?

Well, you can have some pulls made and verify the AFR is reading where you have it set. This will let you know if the oxygen sensors are reading and providing feedback to the ECM as desired.

You will find out the bike horsepower and torque numbers if you are curious.

You will be able to tweak the AFR settings based on the actual bikes output, and adjust if there is some minor gain to be made with the AFR tweak.

You may be able to optimize timing curves to tweak the map better based on the bikes output.

But all this comes at a price for the dyno time. It's a decision of how **** you want to be at tweaking the last ounce or two. Thunder max has done 99% of the work with the canned maps, but I find more power with AFR adjustments and timing tweaks.

The auto tune module will learn new fuel offsets to adjust your AFR. You may have to write the learned offsets to the MAP (if your MAP is a poor match to your build). Very easy to do.

It will not adjust timing. Dyno time may be required to adjust timing If your engine build is not a close match to your MAP.
