I gotta ask..... How do you like the Street Cannons? I'm thinking about buying a set. I'm looking for a little more low end rumble but not a whole lot louder, cause I'm enjoying my radio. (1st touring bike for me)
The SEPST is $450 from most HD dealers and you can load the map yourself very easy. Then you can fine tune the bike using the smart tune feature fairly easily and you get that hands on accomplished feeling at the same time. This will provide better performance and a better running and cooler running bike. Then in the future if you decide to change anything else you are already set from a tuning point. If you look in the tuning forum there is a very easy to follow step by step directions to loading the map and smart tuning. If you don't mind me asking, what does the dealer charge for the download?
...I'm also running Street Cannons and planning an A/C upgrade in the near future. Is the SEPST 'Race Only' (does anyone know) for the 2014s in California?
jstrenn, for my money, the Street Cannons are great. It sounds like we're after about the same thing. They're still a relatively 'soft' sounding muffler, but with more low frequency 'rumble'. They're actually getting a little louder it seems with more miles. I'm into listening to the radio, too. Cruising at 70-75, they're really pretty quiet. But get on it (or decal quickly using engine compression) and you'll know they're there.

The SEPST is labeled "Race Only" or " for off road use" because they are not EPA compliant. But that's the whole purpose, you want to richen the bike up so it's not so lean. EPA compliant is very lean to burn off every bit of fuel and pollution possible. The other HD tuner is the SE street tuner and it is EPA compliant but is very limited on what you can change.
The SEPST is billed as a race tuner, technically it will void your warranty. You have to rely on a friendly dealer. I have one on my 2013 RK because it's modified more than pipes and a/c. I have the Street Cannons and SE stage 1 a/c on my 2014. I simply put the Nightrider Fl VIED-10 on it. Runs great and it was only $100. The SEPST is a nice product but in my opinion overkill for a simple pipe and a/c change. The Street Cannons are a nice low rumbling muffler that will improve with a few miles on them.

Thanks for the reply... I think I'm gonna order a set soon. Thats pretty much what I'm after sound wise. And can save a couple hundred dollars over Rineharts or V&H.
