Default 2014 Road King bar install help ASAP.
I'm in the process of wiring my new carlinis and have hit a snag. Plugs are completely different than pre-2014 molex. I believe they're canbus style? Not sure how to disassemble the new plugs to get the wires fed through. I thought it looked like it worked the same but I'm obviously wrong lol. Also, in reading about these plugs I've noticed allot of people saying that the wires can't be cut? I've already lengthened and soldered them. Is this an issue? Thank you in advance. Ill post up some pics of the this as well as my SB soon.

Doesn't HD sell cable extenders?

They do but I've always soldered the wires. Plug in extensions just seem like a short cut to me.

And I'd need to take the plug apart, at least on the throttle side anyway to fit past the tbw.

done a dozen 2014 bars and never had to disassemble the plugs to get them through the bars.
there small.

Is the fact that I cut and soldered the wires to extend them an issue with the 14?

Im not sure how u squeezed the plugs past the tbw. I've tried it both ways, also tbw second. How about the soldering? Any issues or did u use plug ins?
