Extended brake install

I'm trying to install the extended brake pedal ( lever) on 09 SG. I can't seem to get in on without the front part getting caught up on crash bar and the rear part hitting the exhaust.. Am I missing something here? Do I got to take off crash bar to install? Once installed it will work like it should with crash bar, it's just trying to get it past that point..

Remove the right floorboard. Rotate the brake around a bit, and it will go right on.
