I do understand its not a sportbike, and cant be compared to such. I did the one thing i never thought i would do and buy the bike on impulse, never rode it untill it was delivered and have never been on a big twin bagger. So far dirty roads and ice it is hands down a nicer bike than my Warrior. As 40 deg weather looms for a few day ill be burning miles on the bike but still cant hit the hills for a couple more months. Are upgrades such as cams etc really worth the $ since youll be hitting the brakes hard in the corner to make the corner?
OP, is the picture in the first post your new bike. wanna tell us now what has been done to it, sure does not look stock

Yes this is my first Harley. I traded in my RS warrior on it. i was leaning to a 14 sg, and do all the mods myself. but when the trade offer rolled me out the door for the same money on a sgs with big sucker, V&H powerdual, and mufflers, SERT. internally wires apes. all mods i was going to do and all the "right color". so to walk out trading in a well customized metric and pay the same as a standard. I couldnt pass it up.

In 2004 I rode a Honda VTX 1800. It was top heavy and handled ok for an 800 lb. bike.
In 2009 I purchased my first HD FLHX and the handling was way better then the Honda.
The 2014 hands down is the best handling HD touring bike to date. Acceleration though not mind shattering is very good for an 800 lb. bike. It blows the 2009 away, much lighter in the turns and I can drag the floor boards on turns no problem.
