Excellent shocks, well known around racing esp in europe. But what type of support are you expecting? If you can get top level support & set-up from wherever you are considering buying them then go ahead.
Hagon are named after Alf Hagon, who founded the company, a top speedway, grass-track rider and drag racer - with a JAP-engined super-charged nitro-burning V-twin. The firm is run today by his son Martin, here in the UK. Both here and in the USA they will routinely build shocks with springs to suit the buyer, so I suggest giving them a call to order.
They make three ranges of shocks: conventional with adjustable spring (in a wide variety of styles): with adjustable damping: the Nitro, with fully adjustable damping and springs. Personally on a bagger I would chose the Nitro.
Thanks. I called the California office and was told the Nitro may have clearance issues with the bags. They recommended I try the middle of their shocks. If I was not satisfied, they would revalve, respring, or whatever I may need to be satisfied. May give them a try.

Nitros are used on lighter monoshock bikes and are quite chunky. However they show them as fitting baggers on their UK website. Just select a close fit for your bike in the table.

I actually seen Alf run that bike at Santa Pod (Poddington) Raceway in the late 60s when I was stationed at RAF Alconbury. Quite the experience.

I used to live in ear shot of Santa Pod back then, still quite close today. Alf was in a class of his own around that time. Single gear and tyre slip all the way......
He bought a British shock-absorber firm called Girling, which formed the basis of his shocks business of today.
