I have 55K on mine and it runs strong. I would love to upgrade, but I feel my year and mileage would kill me on a trade.

If I were to trade, I would be looking for a low mileage <20K miles used 09+ bike, so I see why trade in would be low on mine

Probably going to run mine till the wheels fall off.

Doesn't matter what they have into it either. I just don't like the mileage. Just me.
Too many garage queens out there with low mileage to choose from.

That said, I sold my last bike at 33K and someone had no problem picking it up. And that bike... was NOT well maintained. I rode the crap out of it.

Last time I asked the salesman that I buy my bikes from, the same question, he told me any bike with mileage under 30,000 miles will get the best trade in, anything over that and the trade in value drops considerably.

The thing is, they (the wheels,) probably never will. With the money not going to a payment anymore, I always have plenty of money to do pretty much whatever I want to the current bike. Between 100,000 miles and now (140,000,) I've replaced lots of "little stuff," before it had a chance to break. Wheel bearings and motor mounts, swingarm bushings and relays, fuel pump and fuel lines, the spring cap on the compensator, a new air horn etc, etc. just to name a few.

The result is a bike that runs just a little better than new ( better cams and exhaust,) and with reliability. The whole refresher course cost me maybe $2,000 (over 2 years,) and now I'm in the enviable position of having to wait for something to go wrong because pretty much I'm done replacing stuff just as preventative maintenance. I suppose now I'll start looking at 97" pistons and cylinders and freshen up that extra set of heads I pulled off way back at 72,000 for when this motor starts losing compression or using oil (neither of which has happened yet.)

I don't need or want a new bike. This one is just fine for me.
