Default bars and cables

after reading on here a bunch I've come to the conclusion that for 14 bars I need plus 6on my cables..I saw that burly has a kit for like 150 or hill country has the bars with all the cables and wires for under 500.. the local HD dealer and indy shop both want to get the bars and measure the wires before they order them.. I'd rather buy everything and take it to them.. HD fround at that thought and the indy was like hell yea bring it in.. the indy is right at 600 less with havin a rear tire all new brakes and labor on the bars.. so is it cheaper or easier to buy each cables or extensions or buy the kit from somewhere

I purchased the NAMZ (NHCX-J08) extension for my 12" Yaffe MBB on my 2014 FLHXS. All other cables were fine including brake and hydro clutch.

The hard part was pulling the TBW cable through. I've never done them on any bike. If you have the service manual you'll be fine. I saved about $800 by doing it myself but do you think my wife would give that money to me to spend on other parts?!?! Nope!

I don't know what year your bike is but here's a great video for removing & installing the ignition **** on an 09 Street Glide:

I did the HD 2" pullback bars on my 09 Ultra and it was a pain but that was mostly because I ran the wires internally.

Small flat head screwdriver will pull the ignition off. Just turn the key and ignition and look under it, there is just a little tab that sticks out you need to push in as you pull the ignition up.

At least on my year, dont know if that ever changed.

You don't need any tools to pull the ignition switch off. Just make sure to take it off and put back on in the Lock position. I forgot and took an hour messing with it.
