I don't think you can use that kit on our 14's since we have duel bulbs but I wonder if you can use these theres not enough info to ascertain fitment but for $50 the price is sure right.
I just ran across this HID setup in another thread and i think this is the route I'm going. HID's have a very good light dispersion from side to side and bright as hell. Love them in my cars over halogen bulbs and they are cheaper than the LED's with much better side lighting.
I don't have HID lights on my bike and Im so glad. My 2011 DTS and my 2014 ATS Cadillacs both have factory HID headlights. I love the way the cars look from the outside but I hate the lack of light. The HIDs on both cars don't seem to light up as much of the road as my work truck with halogen lights. When I upgrade to a new bike I may be looking to fit a regular halogen set up to get back the light!
I ran into the guys from Socal motogear in Laughlin at the River run last year and the lights were amazingly bright, so I ordered a set for my 2000 RK. Put them in, quick installation, plug and play, and the lights were amazing. First night road trip from Flagstaff Arizona to Phoenix, at 11pm very rural country and the light performed like a champ. I had never been less stressed riding at night, I could see far enough down the road to give me peace of mind that I could react to problems. My riding buddies actually complained that when i was behind them and they were checking their 6 even in the daytime, my headlight is almost blinding. I just upgraded to a 2014 SGS and the headlight is miserable in comparison. I am planning to upgrade the bulbs to a new set from socal as soon as they open this morning and can give me fitment and pricing.
I installed a reflector-type Daymaker this last weekend. Heck of an improvement over stock! And I have no issues with corners not being illuminated - the spread of the beam is really wide. Having read a lot of LED threads recently, I believe the "can't see into corners" problem only appears to be with the projector-type Daymaker.
It does need to be very carefully aimed though - that's critical.
On my 14 SGS I too installed the HD LED. I also installed the custom dyn ringz. Lastly I installed Moto Lights with their LED bulb. So all 5 lights are LED and same white color. If I need more than that, I will go in my car. I don't think you want the light blinding to oncoming cars as IMHO that impacts the drivers perception of your speed and distance. Just my 2 cents.

... most of my riding is during the day, being seen is very important to me.
Not being seen is not comforting at all ....

So when you are in a turn with the bike leaned over and the handle bars slightly turned, the headlight just basically points down to just a few feet in front of you. (see below)
Even in this picture with my high beams on, you can't even tell that the headlight is on because there is no visible light at the level of the camera person.
So that is my problem, no illumination through the turns.
A friend that was having the same just bought the HID setup from socalmotorgear.com. he will let me know how that works out from him after this weekend. We had our bikes together this afternoon and as far as the color temp is concerned, it looks exactly the same as my LED does, no blueish tint to them at all.
The Custom Dynamics Bullet Ringz are OK as a Day Time Running Light, but they would not give enough light to light a turn.

Interesting ..... wife's G37S HID's are great and her past G35S and SLK350 HID's were great .... my Super Duty Halogens are not so great and my last two H2's and past Sliverado and Lightning Halogens were not so great.
I agree, the Daymaker that comes on the 2014 models is not suited for motorcycles. It is a copy of a light made for off road use in 4x4s and in big rigs. It's apparent that the men and women who put all those thousands of test miles on the Rushmore bikes never rode out in the country where their headlight was their only source of light.
I installed the TruckLite P7 in my 2014 Limited and it is heads and shoulders above the Daymaker but it just doesn't look right with my spots. I'm planning to swap in the H-D Reflector Daymaker soon since it matches a little better. Just remember, the BCM on the 2014s limits what you can do as far as lighting. The 2014s are set up for a far lower amp draw than the 2013 and older models and what many aftermarket options require. I'm curious to see the complaints once warm weather arrives and more guys are riding earlier in the mornings and on into the night.
I tried a HID setup on my 2007 Ultra and loved the light but it kept blowing the low beam if I started the bike with the high beam switched on. I ended up with the Silverstar Ultra bulb in the stock housing.
I went with Kuryakin LED headlight......Perfect lighting, both front & sides. Per lead HD tech, "is better, brighter than Daybreaker."Liked it enough to take it from my '11 FLHX and put it on '14 FLHXS...... left Daybreaker at HD stealer.......
