Hello from new member,
I recently purchased a 2014 street glide special (Mysterious red sunglo).
I absolutely love the bike but I noticed a problem with the right side saddle bag. when looking at saddle bag from behind from top right, down to left the paint looks like there is two line impression. I had my dealership replace the bag 2 times and this is the third bag i have gotten. It is definately better than the first two saddle bags, but I still see the same lines. I think this is a problem with the mold of the bag. I talked to HD rep and they are saying that the last bag is acceptable and that I have to deal with it. If there is anyone out there that has recently purchased the new 2014 street glide can u look to see if you have the same problem and send me a message, I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks
I just looked at the 2014 ultra classic its black was hard to see but did catch it at the right angle it is about 2 inches down from the top on the left hand side of the right bag and goes toward the bottom outside corner of the bag.
I have the same issue on mine.. Dealer told me there was nothing they were aware of and left it at that.. They did however replace my outer fairing on my SGS due to fish eyes in the paint, surprised it got past quality control
I have a fish eye on my fairing also, it's the second fairing. Someone must have scratched the first one and burned thru the clear coat trying to fix it. Sounds like QC at the MOCO took a couple months off.
If management has done their job and built quality into the process, there is no need for quality control inspection. But that's the quality back ground coming out in me..LOL
