Lots of us have been doing this for 40 years. That just means we're old, lol. Been using anti seize on my muffler-to-header joints, and on my spark plug threads for many of those 40 years.
I use Permatex silver anti seize on:
Plug threads
Exhaust stud threads
Muffler clamp and cross-over clamp threads
Muffler to header junction
O2sensor threads
Just a note of caution, were all aware that one drop of anti seize can cover an entire human body? You do not need to buy a huge bottle, just a brush dipped in another's bottle can last for decades as this miraculous stuff can spread like wildfire!!
Have seen it misused and the monster unleashed spread to cover a friend from head to toe, he even had it on his wife until they found the remedy remover! Diesel fuel! NASTY!!!!!!

I've heard this, but for some reason just can't see how that helps anything. Theres a muffler on both sides to contend with. I have tried cutting the shocks loose and letting the swingarm drop a couple of times and I've gone back to just pulling the mufflers. If antiseize is used its really no big deal removing them.
So how does it help to reverse the axle?
jt
Sorry, I was looking at the Softail in the front of your picture. Softails and Dynas or 2 into 1 touring can save time flipping the axle, not touring bikes with dual muffles.

The white GOOP hand cleaner is good for washing it off your hands.

I've found that Fast Orange hand cleaner works well, but yeah, that stuff will get everywhere in a hurry.
been using Be Ray waterproof grease for 20 years on mufflers and exhaust. never had a problem. theres not that much to read into this. not rocket science.
