Default Fat Baggers Backrest Harware

Any one use this docking hardware http://store.fatbaggers.com/fbi09barekit.html? I hate the look of the HD 4 point docking hardware when not using the backrest. If you do, how does it work? Is it completely hidden? Would you recommend it?

I think it looks much better then the HD mount. I often wondered why more people don't use them.

I have this bracket and it installed easily and works perfectly. I too like a clean look. Here is a pic of the back of my bike.

Looks great, really cleans up the back of the bike. I wonder why more people don't use them?

How does this kit work exactly?

I read the description on their website, but not clear, "chrome plates to bolt onto your backrest and additional hardware to allow for easy attachment and quick, clean release."

How does the additional hardware function?

Good question, that's what I was trying figure out. I can't find any pictures installed or installation instructions. That's why I started a thread on it.

I would like to know how it works as well. I've been looking for a cleaner looking alternative to Harley's. I'll be checking back in.

Ok, you will have two post (one on each side) that mount directly to the chrome subframe cover. The rest of the hardware mounts to your backrest. It is very clean when the backrest is on the bike and when it is off of the bike.

If you like I will take a pic of the mounting points on the bike and backrest. I will do this tomorrow evening when I get home from work.

Here is photo of mine with the bag off, shiny large pin in the middle above the pulley. that is all that stays on the bike. you will hardly notice this.l

This is the hardware on the back rest. i modified mine to let the back rest rotate back a few degrees to give my wife a little more room. I am on the tall side.
