RG Temp Antenna Fix?..

Looking for some suggestions for a temp antenna fix on my RG. I just installed the quick detach brackets for my Tour Pak (King) and the Tour Pak has the antenna mount on it. I've purchased an antenna to install inside the fairing when I get my hog tunes amp and speakers put in which won't be for a few weeks give or take. In the meantime, I'd like to have tunes. What would be the best route to go? I don't think the small 9" antenna will fit. My thoughts are to get a short length of antenna wire, attach it to the existing wire and mount my antenna to the tour pak and just deal with having to disconnect the antenna when I want to remove the Tour Pak. It'd be a royal pain in the **** but only for a short while.

Maybe someone can chime in with some other ideas before I made the change in a day or so.
