That.

I like the HD adjustable backrest. But, I didn't like the seat so much so now I have a Mustang. That backrest is very nice too.

I have tried the factory adjustable, non adjustable and the Corbin. Once you get them set for you the adjustment is something I never used. My opinion is any one will work, there are a wide variety of pads too so you can get one that works for you. I tried a big pillow, a smaller one both from Harley and the Corbin one is much smaller than the Harley ones. Again all worked fine but of course the smaller ones worked better for the rider.

I've changed to Corbin seat with the back rest. I do like the back rest on long rides as for the passenger, she only weighs 70 lbs wet her name is back pack and she never complaints. So for breathing passenger I don't know.

Are you asking about a backrest for the wife, or you as the rider.

I have the HD non adjustable and it has worked great. There are 4 sets of holes to allow some flexibility on how far back or forward to mount the base. There are 3 sets of holes for the backrest itself to adjust height. It is easily removed if you need/want to. I leave on all the time.

I have the Regular Harley and love it. I tried an adjustable before finding this one and found that I never adjusted it once set, so why pay the extra.

+1 on moving the tour pack to make more room for your wife. Makes a huge difference, and both of us much more comfortable on long rides.

I have the HD adjustable. I move it around based upon how much I am wearing, my position for comfort, and when my wife is on board. She does not have any problems regarding room on her seat. Each person will find a different comfort level for their riding style. Make sure you try some different models even if you just sit on the bike and lean back. It makes a difference, to me, how it feels when I am riding. I chose the adjustable because I am always moving around and like to change positions for comfort.

I'm sorry. For me, since she has the tourpak backrest to lean against.

Does the Utopia fold forward to aid the passenger getting on the bike?
