Default Backrests

Hey guys, I mainly do two up riding with the wife on our 2009 Ultra Classic. For those of you who have backrests or have tried several types, which one do you think is best? I need one which will work easily and not make it cumbersome getting on and off the bike for either me or the wife. Thanks

the HD ones work fine for me, but restrict passenger room. If your wife is bigger than an "A" cup, or weighs more than 90lbs, get a tourpac extender kit to move it back a couple inches. Makes a big difference.

Ive used the HD as well as some stationary aftermarket designs but the one I would recommend as far as form (looks), fit (adjustability) and functionality (varied degree of comfort) is the Mustang backrest. I cant say it about too many products but its the best Ive had or seen period....wife agrees with one on her Super Glide.

I have the stock Harley on my 2014. I also had stock HD on my 09.

If you want after market check out Utopia back rests.

I have the stock HD "Non-adjustable". It works just fine. But I would/will replace it with the Mustang someday.

Mustang all the way. If I only knew this a long time ago, it would of made those long trips a lot better.

I have a HD non-adjustable backrest. It works great, especially on trips.

If it's an occasional thing and not something you are going to leave on all the time the Grasshopper Limited backrest is a decent inexpensive option.
