Can anyone help me to decide. I ordered Vindikta 14inch bars for StreetGlide 2012, and now I need to understand about the clutch cable & brake like.
I'd like to order MagnumShielding cables but what about the length. What I found on different forums that I need +8inch for clutch cable & +6inch for the upper brake line. But I'm not sure. Can anyone help me with this question?
Those are stock length brake and clutch cables? I am getting 13" bars put on my 14 Limited and they said it needs longer brake and clutch cables.
Trying to sell you something you dont need.Just reroute brake and clutch lines.FYI,I used 8"Extension Wires it worked but 12" Extension Wires would have made it easer.Get polyurethane bushings the stock ones are soft. You can trust me,im not selling anything.lol
i've been told that stock cables on a '14 ultra limited will work for a 14" ape. is that correct?
YESYESYESYESYESLOL YES
You can see the slack. The other side is the same. You just cant beat the look of a 1-1/2 diameter Vindikta, you get what you pay for. The 1-1/4 bars on a Big fat Harley just looks wrong.(IMO)

Hey Brykwil,
First of all, thanks a lot for posting the photos of your bike with the Vindikta bars on it - I ordered mine instantly after seeing yours!
About rerouting the clutch and break lines: how exactly did you do it? And is there some other benefit to keeping the stock lines than saving money? I mean, you still have to disconnect the lines and after rerouting them you gotta bleed them, right?
I'd really appreciate all hints and tips that'd help getting the handlebar job done properly.

I rerouted mine and never had to crack open either system. If you pull the levers out of the perches and the half clamp and screws out, the master cylinders can be fit through your forks and between the components up at the neck you need them to be to run them where you want them.
