Got my wife an Airhead Helmet Insert sometime during the 2012 riding season. I won't say it does wonders for helmet hair but it sure helps. Works by creating about a 1/4" space between the scalp and helmet liner. Might be just enough for your wife. They come from Austalia (I think) and are a bit pricey after shipping cost is added, plus the shipping time is long.

try letting her wear your girlfriends helmet. the only helmet i'm worrying about is the one on the end of my pecker.

A nice Skull Cap should work.

I did not read all the responses so sorry if this is redundant but you might want to remove the helmet padding and wash it. That might help the breathability of the confort padding and should restore some level of comfort.

Offer to scratch Her head when you get back from a ride.
Imagine the possibilities!

The liners of most good helmets are removable and washable. Wash it with mild laundry soap (like Woolite) and make sure it is rinsed completely. It's probably something in the liner that is causing the itch.
