I bought the Diamond Gusset jeans that you saw in Atlanta at the show. I have only used them once for a 2-hour ride (over my freeze-out pants) but I like them. I had been looking online for a couple of weeks for something that protects better than regular jeans, so I bought the ones with kevlar in them.

So far I like them. They feel roomier in the crotch. I like that they look mostly like jeans. I like that they are made in Georgia by a Tennessee company. I believe they would provide more protection in a slide vs. regular jeans. I have never owned leather chaps so I can't comment on how they compare.

Also for what it's worth, I have had groin hernia surgery and have problems with ******** pain while riding. So far I haven't had that problem with these jeans. Sadly, I don't have your "giant yam sack" problem. I'm hung like a tic-tac. But the surgery has been an ongoing problem for me to fully enjoy riding. I'm hopeful that these will relieve or solve my problem.

For me these jeans were just what I was looking for. If you are just trying to solve the roominess problem, I would say there are cheaper options, including the Diamond Gusset jeans without kevlar.

This looks like a way for a "me too" jeans manufacturer to make their product slightly different from all the other jeans out there.

Because, y'know, people have been complaining about how uncomfortable jeans are since Levi Strauss invented them.

Looks like the solution to a problem no one really has. Bit like Listerine...

In lieu of sex, I have found that taking matters into hand greatly reduces the "blue *****" effect!

Like a few other are saying. Google Duluth trading co. The only pants I wear anymore are Duluth Firehose and firehose flex. the 11 OZ firehose even come in odd waist sizes and are guaranteed to be replaced if you ever wear them out.

SUPER comfortable and they also hacv ethe diamond shaped crotch gusset.
Can get them in black too, if you want to wear Harleys best color!!

I wear firehose flex in summer and the heavier Firehose in the winter.

Lots of pockets too.

Now "firehose" is a problem of mine....think I might look into these particular jeans.

Been a long time since I've seen a thread this funny!

My wife being the fashion expert she is has filled my closet with designer jeans from "Buckle" that are all $100+ per pair. I have to say they are all very well fitting jeans with plenty of ball room. My favorite are the Mek and Rock something, these both fit well, never pinch or bind, and are very well made. But hell for $100+ a pair they better be outstanding...lol.. Compaired to my Levis these jeans are much more comfortable on the bike. Thank god the 70's and 80's are not still in fashion! Those were some tight fitting pants for sure!!!

Personally I don't buy any of the name brand jeans since they moved manufacturing offshore.
I buy all my jeans from http://www.allamericanclothing.com
And they do offer a gusset jean http://www.allamericanclothing.com/m...usa/AA701.html

Diamond Gusset Defender jeans are worth the extra bucks, super comfortable, added protection, great features ...... and 100% MADE IN USA
I have over 15000 miles on the jeans and don't ride without them
