Makes me wonder - I had a crossover clamp replaced under warranty on my bike and when I got it back the final belt had a 1/4" groove all the way around. Cost me $600 to fix.
Crisis averted. I pushed a long wire tie up from under the bike into the belt pulley area. Heard it move around, kept poking and it fell right out. Whew...........

Ole school but I throw a blanket on the floor under the bike... stops those nuts and screws from sliding across the concrete floors, better if your working out in a gravel driveway.
That's one hell of a good idea. Sure beats walking around outside in the dark with a flashlight bent over like a coal miner at proctology convention...
