The Pinto and the Lincoln were both manufactured by Ford Motor Company, Detroit, MI.

At the end of the day, I believe the only things (AGM battery related) not manufactured under the same roof are the labels on the batteries and the boxes in which they are sold!!

Of course. Then they washed the parts and put them in a big industrial hot dryer and they shrank.

I worked for a battery wholesaler for a summer back when I was a kid (looong time ago). All of the batteries we received were void of any stickers. We had a wall full of bins with different stickers. The volume of batteries purchased by a particular customer determined which brand stickers went on their batteries, the warranty and how much they paid for them.

If they are identical, why are the terminals and moldings on the case different? The same factory can manufacture items to different specs depending on the customer's requests. I'm not saying you are wrong but the fact that batteries are built in the same factory certainly doesn't mean they are identical.
