Yeah, 6 blocks could easily become 6 miles and then 60 miles. Well, actually, at 20 or less degrees, 60 miles might be pushing it. 
The service guy was very adament that I would destroy the forks and wheels if I rode it home. OK, a think destroy is a strong word. I almost shot back that if the metal work was that cheap then maybe I shouldn't buy a Harley, but I bit my tongue.
That is my only concern. I don't have a heated garage to wash the salt off in.
I just don't know how much longer I can wait to ride! I am having withdrawl symptoms.
Someone asked about the widnshield bag. There are threads here about them. There is a special bag set just for this year to let the air flow. I never had a problem with buffeting, or maybe I should say, I enjoy the buffeting! So, I am not concerned about if that works or not.
