I change my stock rear rim out for a 18". when I push my bike backwards I can hear it the belt rubbing on the belt gaurd (black plastic). but I rode it and there are no issues with rubbing. I thought I would smell something burning but all seems ok. Just seems to be strange hearing it rubb. Any suggestions.
The belt tends to move to the outside of the pulley when going backwards but rides to the inside when going forward. What kinda wheels you got? We needs pics!
Did you change your pulley out with the swap? I changed mine to the dna chrome cush drive pulley, it's a little wider than stock (1/32") rubs a little backwards too, forward nothing...... I'm pretty sure hogpro is dead on with his diagnosis.
Took everything from original and remounted to spoked rim. No issues riding. I think HogPRO is dead on. I do plan to go with a smaller (lower profile) reccomendations? Want the lower look in the rear.

Is the dyna pully the same size or did you change gearing?
Take your saddlebag and belt guards off and watch the belt as you roll the bike. You'll see what I am saying. As far as aftermarket pulley's on baggers are concerned I recommend you check the teeth on the pulley regularly as they have a tendency to get sharp and wear out a lot quicker than a stock pulley. I don't sell bagger pulley's for this reason.
We never found a good solution for this and the mileage in which a pulley wears out seems to vary widely, but I prefer not to sell a part that could cause a potential issue just to make a few bucks. Pulley's usually get a 6 month warranty when I have a customer who insists on one.
I send people to ***** Shiny for chromed of powder coated stock pulley's. I wish you guys luck with yours and mentioned this so hopefully you keep an eye on it and can catch any possible issues prior to them causing any sort of serious problem. Sharp teeth have been known to break belts on occasion. Belt install's are pricey.
