I've been trying to sell my chopper. Only has 3500 miles it's an 06 and has a baker 6 speed and a lot more goodies than the one you're looking at. The best price i got was 5k. Do you really want to trade?
Custom built bike=major headache (more often than not.) Run away screaming, unless you enjoy having a bike that has more broken down time and quality issues than actual usable riding time.
2012 me and my buddy with our old ladies and luggage did a across country trip (fl - CALI via Chicago), me on my RK him on his new Thunder Mountain chopper.
Great looking bike but after 3 days and dropping it 3 times he was ready to ship it home and hire a cage for the rest of the trip!
We persuaded him to continue and let his OL drive the cage with his luggage. He made the rest of the trip on his bike but every day he was waiting to get to the hotel for a hot bath to soak his bones, me on my RK could have just kept going and enjoyed the ride.
The following year, he shipped his chopper back to FL from Cali but I rode my RK!!! nuff said!
I can see the lure of a chopper, they just plain look cool. But to me I would keep my RK and save a few bucks and buy a chopper out right. Like Nick508 said, he's only had 5k offered for his bike. You might find one for 5-7k that somebody wants to get rid of and you can keep the comfort of your King while having the chopper to look cool when you so choose. Good luck
I have both a chopper and a road king. I ride the chopper once a week, if that, for the fun of it. Once I get the shovelhead reliable, it may be less. The road king is for the other 6 days a week. Choppers are great second bikes. Joe
Get what the heart wants.everyone is talking comfort and windshields and having all the amenities of a car. Why ride. I can buy a convertible it's the same thing only safer. if the wind is to much or you can't take not listening to your music.maybe you need to be just like everyone else.man up. Bar hopping is what people do.its not defined by the bike. Although on a Good Friday night I can count more street glides than anything out front of the local bars . So maybe those are the real bar hoppers.
No one has a soul anymore. They just want you to be like them.

It has nothing to do with Manning up, or a windshield or being able to listen to Miley Cyrus on a ride. It has to do with experienc. Those of us that have a chopper know the difference between the two bikes. If anyone wants my $30,000 chopper, they can have it for 8 grand. Lets see how many jump at this deal then we can talk about "Manning up".

if you have not ridden a rigid lately, you may be in for a surprise. That will be one rough riding bike. I think it will limit your riding. Unless you are just using this as an opportunity to add a chopper to your stable and then purchase a new bagger.
