im having trouble getting my tts mastertine to record my rides
I have used the Master Tune 1 before. I know you have to use the correct software. They have a 1 and 2 series software for the Vtune and mastertune. Also make sure you have all the updates done. I would contact TTS or go to web site and read some of the info there. Very good site.
I have the TTS on my bike and think its the cats ***. Had it tuned several times via laptop with fair results. Had it tuned with dyno and have great results. So my suggestion would be , have it dynoed.

Agreed, a "good" dyno tune will beat an auto tune anytime. If you have a "good" map to start with the auto tune is ok and probably won't tell lots of difference to the dyno tune. A bad dyno tune will usually have fair 100% numbers, but the drive ability won't be right. Stumbling, flat in lower rpms, and very rich running, and pinging in fast cruise in hot conditions, are some examples that come to mind.
I am not saying that all dyno tunes are bad, but there are some bad dyno tuners out there. They have to know a lot more than how to read numbers on a computer screen. They have to have enough experience to know when a combination is working to its fullest potential. That is why it is a good idea to ask what they recommend for the best combination. Not talking about exhaust and air cleaners, but the whole package. There are 1000's of combinations and no way they can know all of them. If you put big valve big port heads and big overlap cams on a stock engine don't expect it to run the same as someone who has the whole package. You will be lucky if it beats the stock engine and a dyno tune won't help much if any.
