Default Bike Locks

Does anyone use anything other than the fork lock? I was thinking about purchasing another lock, but want to know what everyone thinks about them and which one to purchase.

Maybe a disc lock but get one that's orange and has an orange cord that attaches to the lock and to one of the hand grips.

I'm just getting used to the fact that my 2011 Street Glide is vulnerable to keyless start up, unless I lock the forks and ignition switch. I do have a bright yellow Kryptonite disc lock. It won't stop a determined thief but when there's choices available, I hope they'll move along to another bike.

A good insurance policy, I reckon! Way too easy to steal a bike no matter how many fork locks or disc locks you put on it...a truck with a hook or cherry picker is all they need to whisk it away... for the less determined or equipped thief, those should work fine.

I have a disc lock I use often. Also used to use a big U lock on the rear but really locks only stop the semi-honest and/or lazy. If someone really wants your bike, it is gone.

My last bike came with a Roadloc from the dealership. I transferred it to my new bike. Well made and easy to use. I only use it if parking overnight away from home. I also use the HD orange spring cord for two reasons, so the bad guy see it and so I see it and DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE IT.

Be Safe JIM

Wheeled dollies are a popular choice...no need to mess with locks at the scene of the crime.

What happened to the audible alarm system + a disc lock I would think would due the job & your Insurance policy up to date.
