I wear an Arai Signet-Q, which is their "long oval" shape. I think it's the first properly fitting helmet I've worn that didn't give me a hot spot on my forehead. Arai also offers different size cheek pads and liner pads to tailor the fit even more.

Check with Seer. http://www.superseer.com/ They make helmets for police and are supposed to be really good at fitting them correctly.

Bell offered custom molding to your head in their Star Carbon line of full faced helmets. You can ask and see if they would consider it for you. It is not a cheap option.

The Wounded Warrior program also does many similar things to this. You might want to touch base with them and see who and what they know about this.

And lastly, check with the schools, of all places. They do have custom molded football helmets for concussed players. Some of those makers may have something for motorcycle riders.

Lastly, travel round to various dealerships, and especially to any motorcycle accessory shops. Try on helmet after helmet. Take notes. You may well find something that fits your noggen superbly right there on the shelf. For me, that's one of the Shoi helmets. Expensive, but it fits my head like no other helmet does. You likely will be able to find yours.

I'd find one that fits the best, then work the foam liner to relieve the pressure spots.

The inside of a helmet is like the white styrofoam you find in packing. When you put a dent in it with your thumb or knuckle, it will stay that way. Normally they basically form to your head over time. But with a little assistance you could format the way you want.

You may look at the Skull Crush line or even call them. I just ordered one, but have not received it yet for review. However; they use memory foam instead of the old hard stuff. That may relieve some of the pressure. Some will start talking about the name or the fact they are not DOT approved. This is due to the actual size of the helmet and not the construction, I found several reports all giving high praise to them because of the material they use.

As well they have additional padding spacers you can put inside the helmet to help fitment. Either way, I would find something with memory foam.

I would second this suggestion. Although Scull Crush helmets are not DOT, they are very well made and are far better than your average novelty helmet.
