So I removed the cover, attached the cable and assembled the same way I took it apart. The two plates, inside one in the grove, 3 ***** and then the outside. Connected the cableand put the cover on . Then I tightened up the cable. It feels good. Then because this is a major pain in the A, Idecided to put it in gear, pull in the clutch and turn the rear wheel. It won't turn. Its like it still in gear and the clutch isn't working at all .
All wet clutches drag quite a bit when cold!
I doubt you could turn it over in 5th
even if was hot. If the clutch feels
similar to before just start it up.
Is there a way to take old cable off and attach new one without taking the plate things out?
Nope! It's really easy, you do t even have to take the ramp snap ring out...... Just slack the cable all the way out and you'll have enough room to hook the cable up...... Put the cover back on, torque in a cross pattern...... And enjoy!

The ramp lever should be pointing nearly straight up when you put the actuation cover back on. ( That's why you never pull the lever when its off the tranny.) In other words, feed as much inner cable into it as you can, then reassemble. Then do all your adjustments, first the clutch, then then lever/cable adjustment, etc.

Have to agree. Looks like it is already rotated like the clutch lever is pulled in.
