My Roadking mods continue w/ pics
Having had a C & C solo seat on my last bike (08' SG) I wanted to go with the same on my RK, because my wife no longer rides with me (back issue).
I had put over 30K on my last solo, cross country twice and liked the seat. When I got the King I knew what mods I wanted but, like everyone else $$ seems to get in the way and I have another hobby (muscle cars). I went with another C&C because it's just hard to beat the quality for the $. Talking with Dave at C&C he fixed me up with just the right seat I wanted.
I went with a matching fender bib even though I have no marks on my fender because, I have never had a rider on the back. I wasn't sure if I wanted one but, for $75 more, what the hell. After the install with and without the bib, I decided to keep it on for now, might make a custom rack in my fab shop later.
I also took off the rear crash bar. If you are going to go down you will trash your bags anyway. Going solo also means I don't need rear pass floorboards so, they went also.
The last thing to do on this King will be bars and chrome controls with new mirrors. As you all know, it takes time and money to get your scoot where you want it but, that's the hobby right? Maybe I can finish it next year.

NEVER take anyones word about the comfort of their seat! That is exactly why there are so many different seats. Like the bars, you have to find what's good for your seat. I happen to like the C&C solo for me.
