Well, it was a long time coming. Many sleepless nights, endless forum cruising, opinions and feedback, but I signed on the line today for a 2007 Road King Classic - Black.
I should get her by Saturday at the latest, just in time for the rain here (West of Chicago). [:@]
I can't believe it all started with my looking at the new XL50 edition Sportster, and everything in between. I have to say that with all the research before buying though, I have no doubts inmy decision. In fact, I had a Superglide Custom on hold until I started adding all the accessories, and she started to look more and more like the Road King!! So I just got the real thing
I'll be sure to put up a pic as soon as I get her home.
Very good choice, Shane - you will love the way she handles. Go easy at first - the brakes will need seated and that's a heavy bike - the brakes really improve with a couple hundred miles on them. Again, congrats and hope we can provide further help as time goes on.

Thank you Ted.
Any tips are surely appreciated. My last bike was about 250 pounds lighter (Shadow ACE). I'm sure those dual disc brakes help up front.
Hope you get some good weather, cause sittin in your garage staring at a new ride..........
