I just bought a 2010 road king and was planning on putting 16 inch rsd king apes on it but apparently they don't work for throttle by wire. Does anyone know of any similar bars that will work?
ps thanks to everyone on the forum that helped me decide on getting the road king, I love it.
I put 16 Wild One's on mine - it's a big job and I had it done by a local chopper shop. They have to extend the cables and it works fine - looks great too.
Wild1 16's here as well, has TBW. Did internal wiring myself, not difficult at all. However if your keen on the RSD apes maybe your local indy could set them up for TBW for you...

I'm thinking 14" Wild Ones. Rode over to Wild Ones and checked out some bars. Brought some bars out to the bike and set them on the bike to get an idea of height and looks. 14's were about where I wanted to be. Wild Ones are definately quality bars.
Paul Yaffe makes some bars that work with TBW. Go to baggernation.com.
Kind of off topic here, but I was looking at a CVO with your paint scheme at the dealership the other day and trying to picture it with apes. Your bike looks sick. Very nice.
