Beware of buying an adjustable passenger backrest for 09-up touring models off Ebay. I'm on my second one and I had to do alot of filing/grinding on it to get it to fit. On both of them the front mount with the plastic insert wasn't cut out large enough and I broke the plastic "C" shaped inserts trying to get it mounted. So on this second one after the plastic inserts broke I enlarged the cutout area to match the factory backrest. Also had to grind the bottom area due to it hitting the top of the shock. One side of the pivot where the tilt takes place had to be ground down some to allow the adjustment teeth to engage. I should've just paid the extra for Harley's adjustable backrest but theirs is aprox. $100 more.
PS. Both Ebay backrests that I bought were from sellers in California. Beware!
I bought a detatchable backrest off ebay shortly after i bought my 2012 streetglide and it worked good. My only issue is when i put it on i havr to pull out on the right side to get it to slide over the docking mount same with takin it off. Other then that issue it works great and cant complain i didnt pay stealership prices. Wish i could remember who the seller was to help you out. Always check the feedback as i am always leary of buyin things off ebay.
