I'd try Harleys 'demo program' first, it might be a cheap fix for ya. I've settled on a 'Windvest', smoked, 13". When its chilly out, I'll put my stocker back on until it warms, then go with the shorty. It gets expensive trying a lot of combos.
At Sturgis the 'Windvest' guys let me try a couple of different sizes as demos. That saved me from buyers remorse...
MadStad is the only way to go for a RG. Don't be one of those guys with 3-4 windshields in their garage and still can't hear their sterio and they are exhaust from head buffering.
6'2". 12"Windvest for me. Put over 100k on 2 different road glides. I've found this shield to be best balance of form and function.
I also have the little wind deflectors that clip on your crash bar. I didn't find them to be life changing, but then they didn't cost an arm and a leg either.
I'm using the KW 12". I am very happy with the amount of wind I get, I can feel it just at the top of my head. I also have the clip on pieces at the crash bar, chrome semi circle under the triple tree and lower fairings. I think the combination of them all works out good...
